Hi,

I am doing a research on supercomputers, I using the site
www.top500.org as reference but there are no prices mentioned.
Does anyone know where can i find cost information about
supercomputers? I have a long list to search..

Thanks

It's a so-so list. It's for manager to tout their accomplishments.
You need to ask owners/vendors.
Commonly, in a flip way: If you have to ask, you likely can't afford.

The cheapest thing I can think of which I think qualified as a sort of
supercomputer is Deep Crack and its more official equivalents.
That's about $256K for specialized hardware which outperforms generics.

The really big sites are more concerned with storage than sheer
processor speed. The old big Cray sites had far more expensive fast
disk than their CPUs as cost go (get a free Cray for 40 DD-49s or as the
joke went). $8-9 sig. figure dollars.
